Sempra Homes is celebrating a major achievement, by winning the Best Development team (Rural/Suburban) at this year’s prestigious Inside Housing Development Awards. The awards, which recognise excellence in residential developments across the UK, attracts major players from the industry.
The Best Development Team category highlights teams that demonstrate ambition, excellent performance and the ability to deliver high quality new homes that meet residents’ needs.
Melanie Keys, Service Manager for Sempra Homes expressed her pride in winning, “We are extremely proud to receive this award, which recognises the hard work and commitment of the team. Everyone at Sempra is passionate about delivering high quality new homes for Basildon’s residents, and we have established a strong team that is resilient and motivated in overcoming the formidable challenges across the sector. New, high-quality housing is a key priority for Basildon and through Sempra, the Council is unlocking its housebuilding programme to provide good quality homes for residents.

The Inside Housing Development Award judges commented, "Sempra demonstrates how a small public-led partnership team can deliver an ambitious mixed tenure programme by harnessing skills from housing development professionals to technical experts, analysts, and sales specialists. Sempra has a proactive internal talent development programme which has enabled entry level apprentices to progress into senior project management roles who are now leading on delivery of award-winning schemes."
Cllr Adele Brown, Deputy Leader of Basildon Council and Cabinet Member for Planning and Infrastructure, said: “Congratulations to the Sempra Homes team on their well-deserved win. Through Sempra, Basildon Council is unlocking its housebuilding programme. It is a top priority for this administration and this award is recognition that we and the team are taking this challenge seriously.”
