Sempra Homes is proud to support Basildon Council’s campaign to help individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, harassment, stalking or other personal offences to remain in their homes and feel secure.

Through our collaboration with our partner contractors The Hill Group, subcontractors and suppliers, 56 Ring doorbells have been donated to date, offering enhanced security and peace of mind to vulnerable individuals. These smart devices enable users to monitor and record activity at their front doors remotely, providing a crucial layer of safety and empowering individuals to regain confidence in their homes.

Melanie Keys, Service Manager for Sempra Homes said, “We are proud to work with our partners to support this important cause. By donating this safety equipment, we hope to help those affected by domestic abuse feel a little safer in their homes.”

The importance of this initiative is highlighted by sobering statistics. According to The National Police Chief’s Council, a woman is killed by a man every three days in the UK, and domestic abuse makes up for 18% of all recorded crime in England and Wales[1].

Sempra Homes is committed to supporting the Basildon community and is working closely with Basildon Council and its partners to deliver meaningful social value projects that positively impact lives.
