Sempra Homes is thrilled to announce its success at this year’s prestigious Essex Housing Awards, where the team proudly took home two awards in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the housing sector.
The first accolade was for Meeting Housing Needs, an award which acknowledges Sempra Homes’ and Basildon Council’s commitment to providing innovative and impactful solutions to meet the diverse housing needs in Essex, in both social and private housing.
The second award was presented to Sempra Homes’ Service Manager, Melanie Keys who was named Housing and Development Professional of the Year. This honour recognises Melanie’s exceptional contribution to the housing profession and her unwavering commitment to Basildon residents throughout the year.

Both of the awards are testament to the hard work and dedication of our team as we continue to deliver much-needed homes for the residents of Basildon. “On a personal note, I am deeply honoured to be recognised alongside my peers within the sector. The team were also Highly Commended in the Categories of Small Housing Scheme (1-24) for its Phase 7 Garage infill programme and Joe Stanhope was Highly commended in the prestigious category of the Mo Slade Rising Star for his significant contributions to delivery new housing for the Basildon Borough.
The Essex Housing Awards (EHA) recognises high-quality developments, services and individuals from the public, private and voluntary sectors and promotes best practice across the county.
